Happy Good Friday to my ForBBodiesOnly Mopar forum family! It is a blessing for me that I am on here with all of you. God Bless You All!

Good Friday is fundamentally a story of grace, of God’s love for us. The Father sent his Son into our world, and this Son showed us perfect love. His love was so great that he freely paid the price for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

The gift of that grace is offered to all. As John 3:16 poignantly reminds us, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.”

Well said Doug. Good Friday is a Day to Reflect, Abstain, and Give Thanks, for what 1 MAN sacrificed, to SAVE The Human Race. How many of Our World Leaders are practicing that today...

Haven't been a fan of Good Friday since 1964....
Where were you? I lived in Turnagain Arm on that fateful day. I was going to make my first communion the next day and I worried that they would cancel it (they didn’t). Praise to the Salvation Army for their relief response!

Yes, who could ever forget that! My dad was stationed at Elmendorf at the time, but we couldn’t get base housing until after the earthquake. Were you an adult or a dependent then?

I was six... We had to wait for base housing too... We got up there in 61 & left in 66...

I recall that we arrived in 61 and left in 65 (maybe?). I was about 8 at the time of the earthquake. Small world huh?

To say Happy Good Friday is ignorance beyond anything I've ever heard.
If you didn't know is one thing but this topic has come up in this forum more than once. There is nothing to be happy about on today.
In the Roman Catholic Church today there is no mass said, only a liturgy, reflection, a solemn day. No Holy Communion on Holy Saturday except for those near death
