Has anyone else had problems with Dash-Worx?

I am soooooo bummed about this. I heard Dash Worx updates ammeters by using parts from B-body fuel gauges from this forum. I sent in an ammeter with a gas gauge hoping to use the same ammeter that has the matching part numbers as the rest of the gauge cluster.....

When I first sent it in they said about 2 weeks. Here it is 3 months later and I'm still waiting. They always give me a different excuse why it's not done.

At this point, I wouldn't mind having my bad gauge back so I can put my dash back together.

Just needed to rant a little....... :crybaby2:

Has anyone even heard of these guys??? LOL!!!

I've heard of them, but no experiance with them. If I remember right they have good reviews...memory not like it used to be. Maybe someone else has used them..sorry.

Just a suggestion but maybe call them up and tell them its now been 2 1/2 months over what you was told and need it back if its not going to be finished, i imagine they don't want to lose your business and make a bad name for themselves..

They refaced/rebuilt a tach for me with their electronics. It looked fine, but was not calibrated. I called them and was told they always test them and my car must be off. Not quite sure what they meant by that. They would have fixed the problem if I would have paid shipping back to them. I ended up taking it apart and calibrating it myself. Works fine now.

And you could add to that conversation that you have 7,500 friends on this forum that are waiting to see how this company treats their customers!
A bad review can go a long way, as can a good one.

Agreed...

X3...if they have reasons for not getting your work finished, then they should communicate that!! Nothing worse than feeling forgotten, I don't like that uneasy feeling that comes with that....

On a more positive note, I had my entire cluster worked over by Auto Instruments, on the East coast, and they did a fantastic job, so maybe that's an option for you if this doesn't work out ??:shruggy:

Well I did eventually get the gauge back..... I don't think I will recommend them to anyone. I haven't had a chance to respond on this. Busy....

Anywho, installed it and it worked fine. For a while..... Then it quit working. Checked for loose wires and everything was still fine. Tested it with another voltmeter and there was no problem, it just quit working. I bought a POS aftermarket guage and refaced it with the spart ammeter I had. Not a professional job but it works. I let them know and never heard back from them. emailed them and called them. No response. I'm embarrased to say that this was a $200 learning experience. I let them know that too.... What a bummer....

Sorry to hear about your bad luck with them Anmracing..

I spent a whopping 16 bucks on a sunpro V/M and 2-3 hours of work on my cluster to convert the Ammeter to a Volt gauge. Here's a peak of the work if anyone is ever interested in doing it themselves. Smyythe68 also did the same thing with his Rallye Dash in his Charger on his thread.
