Has anyone tried to use this?

I looked at their site but couldn't find out where it said it did away with vacuum advance, or how it compensated for that.

I had a system similar to that on a Honda 750 Four with a 1000 kit in it back in the late seventies. I would shift it at 12,500 RPM and it didn't miss a lick!

It is a Crank-Trigger system with an electrical advance system on it. MSD makes a little advance box that works nice for the advance routine. Not too

expensive either. Back then I think the Honda kit cost around 250.00.

Here's the automotive distributor page ... http://www.c5ignitions.com/auto---truck-ignitions.html

There is no vacuum advance on the distributor and further down on the page you'll see where it comes with some preset advance curves with multiple sparks at specific engine RPM's. You can also change the curves based upon your specific engines requirements.

The only thing that bothers me (other than the $819 price) are those coils and where to mount them so they look good.

So it has preset advance curves to deal with rpms, but not engine load. Sounds like a race item. Thanks for the info.
