HATE the cold weather!!!!

The high for tomorrow is only 48 degrees over here in South LA!! The older I get the more I hate the cold weather!! I'm trying to talk my wife into retiring to a tropical island. I want 85-90 degrees year round!! I feel bad for all y'all Yankees that live up north. Couldn't do it myself.

Well Camtra, I spent 20 years in Bossier City and now in Alaska for the last 28 years. We deal with the other end of the spectrum for weather from you. You have a couple months in summer that it is too damn hot and humid to do anything outside. We here have a couple months in winter where it is too damn cold to do anything outside! I guess we all adapt and have to enjoy the good parts of where we live...Stay Warm!

Agreed. It didn't seem to bother me as much when I was younger....but I guess a lot of things didn't bother me when I was younger!! LOL

I live 9 miles from Galveston Bay and when the breeze is coming straight off of it, the humidity can be pretty bad and when the temps are up, it feels like crap but when the sun goes down and the humidity gets upwards of 90% and the breeze goes away, that's when things feel worse than crap. I don't mind heat so much but when it's humid to go with it, that's when I want to move away.

You think 48 is cold? That's beach weather in most of the rest of the country in the winter. It's the first time I've heard a Southerner that can't hand,e the winters. The summers I could understand. I cMe from Minnesota but now live in Southern CA. It's mostly 60s and 70s during the winter days. Some people whine about that here - I like winter the best of all seasons. A lot fewer tourists and very pleasant weather. To each his own. My in-laws come here from a tropical country and wear gloves and scarves with a warm sweater during the summer - they think it's winter weather all the time here"......"........... I guess it's all what you're used to.

Aloha , you can always come to the Big Island of Hawaii where the low of 69 and a high of 84 this time of the year. I love driving my Vert with the top down all through the year. C

i live in socal too, but spend 6 months of the year south of the equator in Peru. today is a balmy 82° and humid.

I'm in the So Cal High Desert (Mojave)
We usually are warm, around 68 or so during the winter months but this year we are cold.
Freezing at night.
What happened to Global warming?
