have 69 charger rt door will it work on a 68 easily or hard ???

I know lock buttons in diff location,,,,how big of a deal to make a rt 69 charger door work on a rt 68 charger???? THANKS TO ALL , Mark in ohio

When you say Charger rt door,... Are you saying the right door, or Charger RT?

The doors themselves mount the same as far as I know. I think there might be something different in the latches though. I had a 68 door on my Charger. When I ordered my new door, we had a hard time getting the new 69 door to latch with the 68 latch I took out of the old door. They had to shim it to make it catch.

base 318 68 charger,want to fit a 69 right passenger door to my 1968 charger right passenger door ,,how much bullshit involved other than lock button position ,,,,,,should I sell it as it is mint rust free and just buy a 68????

my 69 charger passenger door is blasted and in primer,no guts ,just a perfect shell ,,,whats it worth might take to nats if any one going is interested thanks mark in cincy

Too bad it is the passenger side. I discovered my 69 had a 68 door on the driver side when I bought it. Always wondered why the lock buttons were in different places until I finally learned the difference. I went with two new AMD doors. I would have traded you my 68 door for your 69 door, but it's the wrong side.

If you have the 68 innards, then yes, a 69 door can be made into a 68. Some 69's had black door buttons; others were chrome. Also, upperbdoor pad is different due to relocated lock position
