I found this in a 67 A body I parted out. I can’t say I have ever seen one like it. I assume it was dealer installed and over the counter. I don’t have an 8 track to test it
I remember as a teen in high
school, wiring in a 4-trac
player in my dads' '59 olds.
I'd consider rebuilding it
if you can find someplace
to rebuild it.
To add to the nostalgic list;
Window mounted swamp
cooler A/C, dash lever
operated overdrive, throttle,
and choke, starter button
next to the gas pedal, three
on the tree, 8 track tape
decks.
Not only did I read about
these options that greatly
added to one's driving
experiences, I lived them
and remember each. Right
down to the canvas bags
hung in front of potentially
hot radiators, and extended
roof heights to
accommodate drivers that
wore cowboy hats.
No apologies.....I just had
to take a trip down memory
lane, only to realize I missed
the Mopar lineages.
Doing my best now to make
up for lost time.
