Having trouble with clutch and brake pedal pads not fitting?

I just finished a 940 mile road trip over 5 days. The new pads stayed in place even with stop and go driving that really tested my patience.

The ones for the 300 are still in the trunk. After watching the videos, I’m not even gonna try. The soap, the caniving. One guy even gave up. No wonder the Dealer didn’t try. Maybe if the car was lifted at foot or so. Or maybe Kern will install them for me.
