I managed to break my heater/ AC switch while rewiring my car. The white plastic back broke off. Does anyone know a source that rebuilds these? I have looked high and low for a new replacement. Megaparts has a listing but no stock. It is a 70 factory ac car with all slide controls. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, the part that broke off has the electrical and vacuum ports. I am not against trying to fix it but it looks pretty fragile and like something you should trust with experienced hands.

You can buy one from napa or a NOS unit on ebay that is specified for another car. Fortunately for us mopar used the same order for the switches for many years (ON A/C MAX A/C HEAT DEF - I think). The difference is how the electrical connections are layed out on the back of the switch. They still have the same basic function (compressor on, etc) but you will have to use a DMM to figure out what does what.
