Bought this brand new repro heater core a years ago and this Made in Mexico core broke when I tried adjusting the fluid tubes. My original one is now leaking so need to fix/replace. To fix this one, is it as easy as simply welding the tube back on? Or should I have a radiator shop go through this one and double check everything.

I have repaired them. You will be soldering it not welding it. Google soldering heater core tubes.

Glad it fell apart pre install. Just like doing plumbing. Clean, flux, heat and solder. Then pressure test...

That was a bad solder joint to begin with. Either the copper tube wasn't cleaned properly or the flux was burned away during soldering.
