So I am working on a 73 Charger and the a/c has been removed. The Heating system is still there but not functioning. I have chased wires and tested the blower. The blower works if you run a hot lead to it but only runs in low speed if I plug it in properly. The control panel is the original and is now hooked up but I have no fan speed controls and the heat is either "on" or off. Nothing else. If I go to def or heat or vent, it does not matter as it will always blow out the vents. I am also unable to affect the temperature using the temperature control. It is either "on" as hot as possible or "off". I can assume that I need to replace the controller but thought I would check to see if there is a problem based on the a/c system being ripped out as far as wiring and/or vaccuum lines.
Also was wondering if there are any good books, guides or reference materials for this system in this year auto. The generic Haynes manual for 71-82 mopars is incredibly vague.
Thanks for any help.
