Hellcat Charger Unveiled Today

Maybe they should go over the top and build a $100,000 Imperial LeBaron with an eight foot long hood in the fashion of Cruella de Vil's car from 101 Dalmations. :) Or bring back the 2006 concept with suicide doors that Daimler wouldn't let Chrysler build.

I just see a big Dart with that front end.

Exactly. And no matter what they do, they still can't build that car without its ugly front. Why do they insist on designing cars that look like other cars. YOU CAN'T MISTAKE A CHALLENGER. Or a Camaro, Mustang, etc. to some extent. I DON'T WANT TO BUY A FAT DART.

I have 2 small school age kids, and a 4 door is perfect.

The 'Dart' front end is what allows this car to achieve a higher top speed than the Challenger, and will likely allow it to exceed the Chally's highway mpg figure as well.... Hasn't it also gone quicker in the quarter?

All brands do this...it's manufacturer recognition...nothing new...

The white one with the optional wheels is sharp...
If I still had kids around,
I'd be inclined to look at a 4dr again,
I've always liked Wagons {the Magnum would be cool} & I also like the Durango's lines allot,
I'd really like a new Durango with that package too,
even now that I don't have kids around anymore, comfort & power is nice to have...

its butt-ugly,...Im sorry. maybe still sore that Chrysler made a 4 door Charger, and looks nothing like the originals.

Good job Chrysler but 4 doors spells grocery getter. :) and it's still butt ugly.

So I get to the store get my groceries and get home before you get out of the driveway!!!!!
And for all of you, beauty is in the eye of the beholder . I'm thinking you best start appreciating the *** end of these cars cause that is what you will see......for a few seconds anyway until it disappears from sight!

I would love to see Chrysler offer a 2 door version of the Charger along side the 4 door. 2 doors and muscle cars go hand in hand.

Actually, if they would have made it in a 6 speed, I would seriously think about cancelling the order for the Challenger & get the Charger.

Interesting front end.

HellCat specific, or across the board for next year?

I kind of like the current front end.

I'd own it, if I could afford the insurance, let alone the payment.

Across the board, this is the face of the new Charger.

Thought this may interest some of you...

My only interest in this car is wanting to be first in line to buy the engine out of a wrecked one! lol

I saw both the Hellcat Charger and Challenger in the flesh today at the Dream Cruise and the Charger is just plain Fugly! I don't care for the hood on the Challey either, but overall the car is baddass! For me the killer combination would be to put the shaker hood from the Scat Pack Challey on the Hellcat and then they would have a winner. The '71 styling for 2015 is spot on and so much better looking than the previous offering, you just have to see it in person to appreciate it. Appearance aside, Hellcat performance is the talk of the automotive world and it's a great time to belong to the Mopar Brotherhood. :headbang: I'll post some pictures tomorrow. :icon_salut:

I just can't imagine who would buy this thing over the Challenger? The only benefit in my eyes is it puts more 700 plus HP engine's on the road to potentially be available one day :)

Married guys like me that got the whole "There's no backseat for the kid" reason on not buying the Challenger Hellcat. lol

One of the pluses that critics have given to the Challenger is that it has ample back seat room, unlike the Camaro or Mustang. My kids were used to two-door cars. :)

image.jpgNumbers fudged! Reported to be 722 HP and the car go 225 MPH.

For sure the shape is what I'm thinking. And agree whatever gets the aero is what you need to build.

I'd buy it over a challenger. Reason....I have kids..the kind you have to strap into a car and having 4 doors makes that much less of a pain in the back, neck, ***...ear when your wife complains...

Chrome bumpers were basically outlawed. They would have to be made of plastic or paper thin sheet metal to meet crash test guidelines. Things are not what they used to be and car designers have to walk a thin line to get a design to production and have it look like a work of art.
