Hello My B Body Brothers and Sisters,

I been away awhile as I have Hellcat Fever:angryfire:. We are now in D1 status. The car will be Sublime, Satin Black Hood. 8 speed auto tranny and premium black leather interior with 8.4 inch touch screen display, am, fm, satellite, cd, dvd, nav and all the other goodies. I am in the first allocation and anticipate delivery late Nov, early Dec.:hello2:

I'll be in and out till then.

congrats to you palandin06 and to too RC on ordering a 707hp MOPAR beast. you guys are gonna have alot of fun in that car, as long as you have a drivers lic.....lol

I've been with modern Mopars since they started with the SRT8s in 2006 and done a whole lot of fun things on them. I miss the LX-community but with my B-body Roadrunner - I feel I'm home!

And yes - a hellcat would cost you about $120K here in sweden...

$120K really? Why so much? Couldn't one just buy one here and ship it there? What adds so much to the cost?

It's the taxes (of course shipping costs too). I also think there are certain upgrades required by the government. For example, I think amber turn signal lights are required, as are side mounted turn signal lights.

One we have here in the US is the requirement for the center mounted brake light (whatever the heck it is officially called), and stricter emissions requirements. I think if you bought a (new) car in Europe and shipped it here, you would also have to pass US requirements.

The Hellcat is assembled 30 minutes away from me, we see them being transported by the truckload towards the border, yet we Canadians cannot build and price any 2015 Challengers nor see them on dodge.ca. Dealers will take a deposit but it will be mid next year before we see any.

Yea it's the shipping, taxes and customs fee that kills it. I just sold my 2006 procharged dodge magnum for about $40K...

Import tax is 26% and customs fee is 11% and then you're right about the modifications and emissions. That's why I got a 1969 b-body. No taxes, no regulations (except CCV) and dirt cheap insurance :)

sounds like a fun time right around Christmas time for Paladin06,
Santa's {aka Ma Mopar} delivery of a new toy...

I don't know how you resisted the 6 speed manual...
But there's nothing wrong with any Hellcat regardless of trans type
