Thanx to "for b bodies only" for the warm welcome. I made one post for an "intake wanted" and a nice discussion followed, its probably not done yet.
2 years ago I was elbow deep in grease and cow crap working with my 77 year old dad on his 1948 power wagon. I took a day off to go to the Iola car show/swap meet to see what I could scrounge up for the wagon. I didn't plan on it, but I came home with a "survivor" 1965 BelvedereII. The price was right,it was all there, including original 273 2bbl engine and auto transmission, even the paint and sun scourched roof are original. Ok, it had a burned out valve in number 3 cylinder and it had to be trailered. It is again running nicely, but most of my attention has been on the Power Wagon, which is now painted but needs plenty of wiring. Most of the wiring will be done by a brother of mine. So now back to the Belvedere, its got a ratty interior, the body has 3 dents and 3 small rust holes, all should be easy tasks for me, I consider myself lucky considering its age and where I live, most cars up here did not survive the first 15-20 years back then. The documents I recieved shows the original owner lived in California,Texas and N.Carolina. It was then sold to an owner in Wisconsin in 1999 and sat in storage waiting its turn to go drag racing, the owner thought it was too nice to cut up, then I came along! So now I get a chance to enjoy, restore and drive this car. Maybe this web site will be able to help me find some parts, such as a 4bbl intake for the 1965 273 ( mopar casting number 2465726 or edlebrock d4b) This is an oddball 1964-1965 only part because of the different head to intake bolt angle and bolt diameter. (In 1966 a change was made and it lasted the duration of the small block.) I will also be looking for headers and a new cam will be in the works as well. Once again thanx for the welcome and any help in scrounging up the parts would be awesome. Oh yeah, my Dad says hi to all youz guyz!

Welcome Dennis, from the Garbage State. Sounds like a nice project you have there. We need more pictures though as we love car ****! I had a 65 Belvedere I about 44 years ago. It was a 383 4 speed with a 4.10 posi. I see you live in (Title Town) - USA. God bless you folks, I have been a Packer fan since 1961! I have noted also that Green Bay is the beer, toilet paper and ice cream capitol of the whole country. What else would one need? All the bases covered. Say hello to your Dad and have him join our sister site (fortrucksonly). It's pokable at the lower right of this forum. There are quite a few guys from here also on that site. I love those old Power Wagons! Also, while I'm thinking of it, your car has an auto trans; I'm not sure about the V-8's, but the six cylinder auto trans was advertised as no service needed for the life of the car in 1965. I had a 65 Dart and drove it over 300,000 miles and never did a thing to the trans. You are on the best site there is for B bodies. Lot's of good people here who can answer most any question that comes up. Nuff said, again welcome aboard!

Welcome Dennis! I see we Share the love for 65 Bel 2 Survivors. I'm doing one at the present time myself. You have joined the Right place! Great Group!!

hi Dennis - who knows may run into you at Iola as I go every year to scrounge and see the corral where you must have spotted your Plymouth. if you've never gone to the mopar nat's you should plan a little vacation and spend a couple days there. Your best bet for finding stuff and hard to find items like I did for my '63 Fury. And it's great to see to best of the usual and unusual in the mopar world there. I haven't gone in several years and hope to this summer...

I have a hard time welcoming someone from Green Bay as I'm originally from Minnesota. You're probably a packer fan too. But I'll make an exception since you're a Mopar guy to. Lol

Thanx for the words. I did't know that about the transmissions, I'll have to look into that, however mine does leak a little...bummer! I'll work on those pics, the car is in storage for a couple more weeks. Well I gotta run, I see the toilet paper salesman just pulled up down the street to get a beer from the guy on the corner with the keg. Oh and now the good humor dude is pulling up...I can hear the circus music!
