Hello to everyone! I finally bought the car of my dreams: Dodge Charger RT 440 of 1970, DANA 60 3:54, manual with pistol grip. Car is in Florida and there´s a lot of work to do, but I´m really happy.

Now is turn to rebuild the engine, I just got all the parts I need, but I don´t know a specialized shop in Mopars near me...Anybody can recommend a shop for rebuild the engine in Florida?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the site from Florida!
To answer your motor ? There's tons of speed shops but not to many that specialize in one thing there used to be a guy up by me but he passed away ,but there is hope if your willing to drive 3.5 hours north. There's a guy who just moved here from n.j. his business is called elite vintage auto Joe is the owner he is strictly mopars and he does motors , but.... He doesn't have a machine shop yet so he's piggy backing off a machine shop I use both guys are great and knowledgeable. I would suggest Joe but again a bit of a drive I'm sure there's someone closer to you . Joe also does trans, rears wilwood brakes ect for your car he's worth a call top notch guy I've ordered about $10k of stuff from him he's a straight up guy good luck

Car will go to Spain and the wheels will be upgraded to Torq Thrust II 15". By the moment, I have bought all the necesary to rebuild the engine and I'll do it very soon. I'll do a new threat with the progress. Thanks to everybody for your answers.

Are you from Spain, what part?

From the Canary Islands, but living in Madrid right now

Then you probably know how difficult it is to make an imported car legal in your country.

Not in this case, as it will be registered as a classic car (other laws)

If you don't find anyone closer to where you are in So FL, the guys in Port Orange working on my Satellite are Mopar specialists. They might be interested in your engine rebuild or know who handle it for you. I also know a really great muscle mechanic in the Ft Myers area, although I don't know that I'd call him a Mopar specialist. He could do your rebuild though. Send me a private message if you end up in a bind on it.
