I have , 70 roadrunner which has all its documentation as far as title, doorway vin sticker, build sheet, fender tag, dash vin tag, under the trunk weatherstriping numbers match as well as the radiator support. I have the engine which the numbers match on the right side by the oil pan. I am trying to find out about the transmission. I understand that there is suppose to be a plate with the numbers on it on the passenger side, but I am unable to find anything. What I do see I have pictures of. I am hoping that someone can help decode all of this. I think it is from a 68rr. I was hoping that the trans was numbers matching as well...

To be an original 383 the number is 3410668 thru 4/27. 3515846 after 4/27 1970.

The 2801548 PN decodes to a 67-68 383 transmission but the 3812 assembly date equates to Tues Jan 4, 1972. If you cannot find a VIN, it most likely means it was a standard duty replacement transmission installed after January 1972.
