Hey all,

Had a buddy ask if I could post this and get him some help decoding the final 6 numbers

"The final 6 numbers"

Do you mean what they call the Sequence number?

The VIN number is an administrative function, not a function of construction meaning the VIN has nothing to do with 'car assembled/built/produced'. It is simply a number assigned to a particular vehicle. Cars were not built in VIN sequence.

VIN 100100 could have been assembled days or weeks before or after 100099.

Perfect and yes I guess that's what he was looking for. I'll pass that on, much appreciated!
