help me diagnose my AC problem on my 66

One of my first cars was a 66 coronet 440 with 318 Poly, power windows and A/C.
I thought that was a pretty rare combo.

I had a 66 4D Coronet 440 without, a 67 440 White Hat special without, and now have a 66 440 with. It's also a 383 car and radio delete. I think that's proababy a fairly rare combo as well.

You would thik the 500 models and Sats (vs 440 and Bel II) would be more likely to have A/C, but I think that may not be as big of a factor.

My brother has a 66 Satellite 361 car with A/C.

I think A/C is rarer in Plymouths than Dodges, at least in B Bodies.

About half of the 67 R/Ts I see have air, but only about 1/4 of the GTX's.

On non-S VIN cars, I'd guess (only a guess) it's about 40% for Dodge and 30% for Plymouth.

so to update this post and still looking for answers...
heater core is good, i bypassed my heater control valve and my heater works like a charm so my heater bypass/water control valve is bad... therefore antifreeze is whats on my carpet, my heater core seems to be good to go, have great heat now.

so where can i find such a valve? ive googled, and ebay searched, etc..nothing that looks exactly like mine. its cable operated with some copper looking wire off back of it. whatever that is? so what to do now? would fixing this make my AC possibly work correctly again? im taking it to my "guy" next week and i was wanting to get this bypass valve fixed first before he got to it..... any ideas?
