Help me identify this intake manifold

Can anybody tell me who manufactured this dual quad manifold? The serial number on it: 3690248
The motor is a 69 industrial 426 block, has roller cam/rockers, etc..

That's an Edelbrock STR 14 with a custom made top.

I believe those were available new in the early 70's.

I just checked one of my old direct connection catalogs, this is a mopar part number. These manifolds were available through chryslers direct connection, they were made by edelbrock for chryslers direct connection so it carries a mopar part number. As said brfore the top plate is not original, direct connection offer them with one four , two fours, three two barrels or one two barrel.

What was this intake good for? High rpm's? bottom end torq? How would it be on a 440 stroked to 500ci?

I think I read somewhere that the STR intake is for the "B" engine only.

STR 15 is B engine. STR 14 is RB. As I understand it the letters stand for street tunnel ram and the power band is suited more for mid to upper RPM. My concern has always been fuel puddling, especially with a lot of accelerator pump action at low speed (i.e. stop and go traffic). I think it's a neat intake and at some point will try mine out on my 66 440 Belvedere. The cool thing is the -4 will fit under the hood with a very low profile air cleaner.

I have a few NOS top gaskets for the STR 14 if anyone needs one. They are shrink wrapped on Direct Connection cardboards. So they are still sealed-unopened that is. 25.00 plus shipping. PM me.
