I have a 1962 Dodge Dart with drum brakes. I've tried removing the drum,
to replace all the hardware, but the drum will not come off. I backed the star
adjuster all the way and still nothing. There seems to be a square lock on the front of the drum. Any have any clues on how to get them off????
Thanks

You need a puller, and it's a specific type. Once you get the puller, you will understand why and how to use it. Look on ebay for one. If not, I have one that was used 1 time and I would be willing to sell it for cheap.

No, it tightens up with the nut. Send me a private message about the puller. The one your friend has may work if I'm correct.

the hitting(tap right) on the end of the puller is the 'coup de gras' use the castle nut it was holding a lot of energy!
