Im thinking im pretty lean buy the way the plugs look. This is after I got home frome a 300 mile round trip. They are lighter in person than the pic. Im kinda surprised by the plugs. I thought an 850 would be overkill for a warmed 440.
Engine specs
440 wiseco pistons 9.84:1
Comp xe285hl .545 242/247 @50
TF240 heads
Rpm manifold
Msd ignition
Brawler 850 carb ootb 76 jets up front 84 in the back. Ifr is 33.
Solid needle 9in vacuum.
35 total timing
93 pump gas
2800 fti converter 727 trans
3.55 8.75

Is it as lean as I think it is? I feel like this is a cruise issue. Main jet? How large should the changes be at one time

I only pulled the the one bank. I can't image the other side is alot different.

Thanks shane

Lean = No

Rich = Yes

Look at your base , I see black soot

What plugs are those brand and numbers , hard to get a reading on heat range with all that crap over the threads

Is that anti-seize

Plugs should be a '4' heat range in NGK.

Idle timing should be around 30* with that cam. That will increase idle vacuum. Idle timing needs to be sorted BEFORE doing anything else.
