The motor mount stamping...no idea(never seen any reference to that)....more than likely a manufacturers mark...

Does it have a round coin on the front?

The stamping on the front is the build date, 0962 1...96th day of 1972

No coin or part number? I have another one that has the coin and another that has a part number stamped just to the right of the date code. Thanks for deciphering the date code, it's a real clean K-member just wished I new what it belonged to??

Take a picture of the top and bottom and pm it to me....keep in mind since the date is 72 the hemi/6 pack was not available, they ended in 71

It looks exactly like the other 2 K-Members I own {welds) I am a welder by trade and would find it difficult to lat down such a trashy weld

Thanks for the pics....72 v8 k frame with skid plate.....

There were some 1972 440/6 cars built
Wasn't that just a handful and one just surfaced recently?

Good to see ya here Charlie! Hope all is well, PM me sometime!

you are correct :) ,,doing ok, just getting test run & waiting on results, life is good there is a 68 charger in my garage LOL.

What's your opinion on this k-member guys? Like I said; I've owned 3 six pack, hemi, K members and the welds on this look just about identical to the other two. I don't believe for a second that this skid plate was installed by anybody other than the factory.

The Patina alone on the pics looks as it was built at the same time......

I wish I could remember where I got the damn thing? Chances are that whatever it belonged to are long gone anyway being from the land of rusty iron?
