The motor mount stamping...no idea(never seen any reference to that)....more than likely a manufacturers mark...
Does it have a round coin on the front?
The stamping on the front is the build date, 0962 1...96th day of 1972
Take a picture of the top and bottom and pm it to me....keep in mind since the date is 72 the hemi/6 pack was not available, they ended in 71No coin or part number? I have another one that has the coin and another that has a part number stamped just to the right of the date code. Thanks for deciphering the date code, it's a real clean K-member just wished I new what it belonged to??
I DIDN'T THINK THEY MADE ONE?Thanks for the pics....72 v8 k frame with skid plate.....
There were some 1972 440/6 cars builtnot with a skid plate....
Wasn't that just a handful and one just surfaced recently? There were some 1972 440/6 cars built
you are correctWasn't that just a handful and one just surfaced recently?
you are correct,,doing ok, just getting test run & waiting on results, life is good there is a 68 charger in my garage LOL.
The Patina alone on the pics looks as it was built at the same time......What's your opinion on this k-member guys? Like I said; I've owned 3 six pack, hemi, K members and the welds on this look just about identical to the other two. I don't believe for a second that this skid plate was installed by anybody other than the factory.
