Thanks for the heads-up on the special. Hemmings Muscle Machines is in my opinion the best periodical on the shelf with regard to 60-80's muscle cars. They touch on eveything - it's cool to see the Pontiac Can Ams, later GTO's, 442's, Magnums and Miradas, all the cars from back in the day. Alot of guys think it all ended after '72 ..... that's a matter of opinion, and Hemming's opinion is there were still some cool cars after emissions regs and gas crunch. Maybe not the quickest cars (but who can touch today's muscle, anyway) - but there were still plenty I'd like to own (my old '76 slope-nosed Laguna was a pig, certainly not "muscle" in my book, but I wish I still had it, along with the 8 track and Boston tapes) It's the nostalgia that qualifies, and I get more nostalgic every year for "the good 'ol days", but I'm still just happy to be here ! I'll be taking advantage of the special - Car Craft (in-laws get me a subscription every Christmas) is a nearly a total waste unless you're your putting an LS motor in your older GM AND have alot of money (they're out of touch with the economy and where most hobbyists really are , surrounding themselves with mfg reps and free parts and service, whoopee). How'd I let myself carry on this long with my post ? Must be too much caffeine this AM.
