I’m new to this site and looking forward to gleaning as much information as I can. I recently picked up a 74 Charger SE in a barn find, except it wasn’t a barn…it had been sitting in a covered car trailer for the last 15 years.

The 2nd owner had acquired it in 1982 and was in the process of a restoration around 2010 when he became sick and passed away. At this time the vehicle was not 100% completed. The family had it haste fully completed for his funeral.

Now many years later and in my possession I am wanting for bring this gem back to its full glory and hence the reason for me to gather information.

The car is 97% complete but needs finishing touches. It’s a numbers matching car (confirmed by dealer) with the exception of the paint, but it still looks awesome. It has around 102000 miles on the odometer.

During my youth I had a 68 Camaro that I fully restored and regretfully I sold it in 2010. I have always had a big old soft spot for these old mopars.

I posted a few pics, hope they come through.

Welcome aboard from Ohio.

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. Good luck with your Charger project. A friend of mine bought a fully loaded triple black Charger SE new in 1974. He had saved for, and ordered a new Corvette, but it never came in, despite all the dealership's excuses. He got sick of waiting for it, and looked around for something else. A salesman at the local Dodge store ordered this Charger for himself as a demonstrator, and loaded it up with just about every option so that it was so highly priced, he was sure that nobody would buy it out from under him. My friend bought it, and said it was still cheaper than the 'Vette he ordered.

Welcome from Leduc, beautiful green '74 there, and it's a big block too! You're lucky you have only the finishing touches to add. I also have a green Charger, but mine's a '70.

Thanks Coelacanth, fortunately for me the previous owner lost all interest in this vehicle after the father died. I did notice there are issues with sitting for so long. I’ll slowly work my way through the list. Just ordering needed trim items, etc. It’s a good thing I don’t have a bigger garage or it would be full of classics.
