Quick intro and hope to join in here more often in the future,
Well, been into old cars most of my life, my dad ran a bus company during my younger years, contracted to the USAF, he had many US friends back then and I used to get a ride out in a lot of cool cars with him. My half sister also married a GI so also on early trips over to the states visiting I'd get to see what to me in the day were really cool 'rocket ship' style cars. Guess those experiences got me hooked!. Fast forwarding many years and classic cars later I'm now awaiting the arrival of a 1962 Dodge Polara 500 convertible, it's got a late 60's 440, 4speed and 8 3/4 rear. It's a great story how I got it and from a truly top drawer guy who's been so good to us with this deal. I really can't wait for it and all being well it should be leaving the US in a few weeks and arriving here in Blighty sometime I guess in January. Even my wife Clare loves the American classics, she has dare I say a '64 Falcon conv and a '62 Tempest conv. we both enjoy the American car scene over here in UK and travel to the US as often as time and funds allow. Hope to join in some discussions in the future and pick up some knowledge from some of you 'gurus' on here.
All for now from soggy Suffolk on the east coast UK.. hey any others on here from UK?
