high beam lights flicker and go out

i have replaced bulb and floor dimmer switch and replace wires from dimmer switch,new headlight switch,new forward light harness,but was doing this before i replaced harness,i unplugged one bright light and all the lights go out,hit floor dimmer and lights come on bright for a few seconds flicker and go off until i hit floor dimmer again,tail lights are fine,dash lights are fine.69 road runner. the bright light that flickers is the driver side,i believe the passenger brite is steady. thanks

Sounds like a ground issue

You know what they say "if it's goofy it's likely a ground", check the grounds. I'd even get a piece of wire with alligator clips and ground it to the battery to see if it helps.

when i install new harness i made sure both grounds on core support was clean and tight are there more grounds i do not know about up front?

But have you checked the grounds resistance? Do not assume just because it's new its good.

found problem it was the new headlight switch,i put old switch back in and everything is fine. thanks
