THESE REALLY WORK!! I checked these out on Snopes and it's for real!

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES:

1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

2. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

6. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

7. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

DAILY THOUGHT:

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

Love 'em! I want Scotts74Bird's take on #7,however. The voice of an experienced electrician,ya know.:grin::grin:

I'm a #6 kind of guy;I have plenty of both around here, and a variety of hammers...

Good one Al, I'm curious though........did #7 play a part in sorting out the electrics on the 64 or were you just tempted to use a hammer as a gentle art of persuation?

More like choice #2. A kind word and the implied threat of violence will accomplish more than just a kind word alone, Add to the fact that I really think this car likes me-I've had a few cars(and bikes) that DIDN'T like me-and I've approached her like a forgotten lady. So far,so good;the major issues have been, for the most part, dealt with, and there's only a couple of electrical things to deal with-Scott has offered MUCH appreciated help with those. So,yeah;I haven't been heavy-handed in my approach to the needed work. She did hear some bad language,however...
