I am getting ready to send my 69 RoadRunner out to paint. It came with the performance hood paint and it will have it again. My question is- the car will be painted base/clear, how do you paint the black hood stripes? If it goes under the clear it'll be too shiny, if on top you'll have an edge. Any tips??

You are correct sir. If you clear it, too shiny. If you don't you have an edge.
So you have to make a decision, and that depends on what your going for as a restoration? If you want to take it to the next level, clear over it. If your doing a stock restoration, put it on top like the factory did. If it was my car, I would clear over it. It's a lot easier to take care of, but I'm a paint guy. Just my 2 cents.
