Horn ring removal 69RR

I know it should be simple but. I have the three spoke wheel with 1/2 to 2/3 circle horn on my 69 RR. Do you not push in and turn counter clockwise on whole assembly to remove it? I can turn it about 10 degrees but it won’t release. Afraid to muscle it too much as I can see plastic lugs breaking off or something like that. FSM only shows regular satellite horn button.

Carefully pop out the Bird in the center. There is a locating tab on it. be careful. Pry out near the "BEEP BEEP" Then take out the bolt under neath and there are three Phillips screw in the horn button,,,,,
