How many people would want to rock this car?

Looks like a great demo car.
Why is it that so many, even here, would say such a thing or yank out its motor for another project? It's a classic family road boat cruiser, with lotso room, big HP, cool AC, and cruise control. Granted by its size and weight, it can take a lot of hits in a demo derby, but still...I know...I'm just an old sentimental type when it comes to C Bodys...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag::usflag::usflag:

Going on a vacation in the 80s with my folks we had a 77 Newport. The master cylinder crapped out going up Pikes Peak. Dad stuck a rag in the emergency brake and we continued to see the sites. It was back when you could drive over Royal Gorge which we did w the emergency brake only. Going thru Pueblo in the middle of the night a stop light changed. Dad hit the e brake locking the rear wheels. The tires were squeeling and didn't slow the newport down at all. We went right through the red light and a cop car was the only car sitting there. He just sat there. He probably spit out his coffee laughing.

he could race that farm truck clown
That wagon was a real sleeper, not some plum crazy Mopar with stripes, graphics, chrome dual exhaust tips and stupid dog dish hubcaps, they are fooling no one.

Can't beat the weight transfer.

Back in the day I'd run my satellite wagon. 360/380 crate motor, reverse/manual 727, 2400 stall, factory 3.23 SG. Ran consistent 1.60 60' times for years. Street tires, full interior, total street car. Stall the converter, watch the tree, left foot off the brake, mat the throttle, she'd squat...and leave.
