How to delete a posting

I've searched through the FAQ's and information and cannot find how to delete a post.
On the 12 of March I posted in the Jokes forum a "Battery Carrier" as I thought it was funny and thought other might get a laugh.
Unfortunately, some people are concerned that someone may build one and could possibly get hurt and subsequentially try to sue me.
With all that said, I would like to just delete the post and only share my jokes with my friends.
If you could give me guidance on how I go about deleting that posting/thread I would appreciate it.

If you were a gold member, you'd have the ability to edit your post for up to 30 days. I guess it's shorter otherwise.

I'm pretty sure that people instantly recognized your battery carrier as a joke though, plus you didn't say it was a D.I.Y. project idea, just an item for sale. You already have six 'likes' for it. Oh, and you forgot to list a price!

Any moderator on here would be able to fix it for you though.

Yes, you won't be able to edit it because it timed out. Hitting the report button and asking the staff for help will get it done. Without a link to it I will have to do some digging. That's another nice thing about reports. There is a built in link for the staff so your issue is only a click away for us.

I found it and it's gone. I thought it was a post but it was a thread so the whole thing is gone.
