Didn’t know we could do that on the site. I have a Remington 7mm Magnum in pristine condition that I’ve owned since new in the 80’s. My elk/antelope hunting rifle from my Colorado decade. Thinking of selling it. I actually still have the receipt of purchase. I’m going to fast forward my noodling. Tough decision - but my hunting days are likely over.

In CA it’s mostly people hunting.

You got a picture of that bad boy?

What are you looking for?
Brush gun, new houses going up on my hunting land. Can't use the 300 win mag anymore.
Looking for a lever action 32 special. 30/30 Savage Winchester Marlin. Consider a capable revolver also.

If you can find a Henry Big-Boy . I think you would like that. There are many good calibers for that rifle and they are very capable of U.S. big game.
I have a Marlin .444 Magnum and that is a knock down machine. Grandpa shot several bear with it and I have filled several deer tags with it.

I still have the original .358 88 that I got as a Christmas present when I was 15. Very good bush rifle.
I had all calibers, but sold the.284’s. Still have .358, .243, and 308. Mainly use the.243 for mulies.

Great Rifle,
My mother bought 2 model 100s as Christmas gifts for my father and the other for my older brother back in the mid sixties. My Dad and Brother gave them to me to pass down to my sons.

Thanks for sharing your Model 100 story. I'll be doing exactly the same with mine by passing it down to my son. Curious as to whether you know if either or both of yours have had their firing pin replaced, per Winchester's recall, due to instances of breakage with the original pins? If not, you can contact Winchester via their 800#, give them your serial numbers, and they will tell you if they have or haven't. If not, they will send you new pin(s). Replaced mine about 5 years ago and my only cost was postage to send them the old pin. Got a brand new pin plus a check for $30 to cover cost of replacement!
