Gentlemen, I picked up 3 shifters and I need some help. Two are Hurst but I’m not sure they will fit my 1970 RR A-833. The third is a mystery. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
The Hursts are both #3216274. One looks factory and the other is aftermarket.
The other one is really old but I have no idea what it would go to. Not a 1970 RR!

Check the number on the reverse lever in the shifter assembly (not the linkage). .Brewers has a page that will help in identification.

Will either of the hurst shifters work in my RR? Are they worth rebuilding?

Hard to say if they will work for your RR.

Again, check the reverse lever (one of the three in the assembly) for the part number then go to this link......orderinfo.php.

One other issue you'll have to research is the correct linkage rods and transmission levers for your application.

You can find them used but in my case after buying "they'll fit" used ones I finally bit the bullet and bought new from Brewers.

Are they worth rebuilding? Brewers has the rebuilding parts....run the numbers then decide.
