Might be a stupid question, but if you run a hydroboost booster, can you have power steering as well? If so how does it work? do you tee off the pressure line? Can a standard Saginaw keep up with both running at once?

Thanks!

I added a separate return tube to the pump housing for a cleaner look and to reduce any pressure build up in the return hose.
Mike

Thanks!

Saginaw's work well but any pump is capable as long as it's not a pump for "rack and pinion" which have lower output pressure and don't work well with a steering box. You'll have both power steering and braking. Pressure line runs from the pump to the hydro boost, out from that unit to the steering box. There is a return line from both the hydro boost and steering box but I don't recommend tying them together, rather, use a Saginaw pump with two metal return tubes on the pump itself. That's the way the manufacturer did it. Sometimes "teeing" can cause poor flow and slight back pressure. Plumbing diagrams can be found on Google images.

Thanks Yatzee, Just so I have it in my head right. Pump -> Hydroboost -> PS box -> return to pump? You mention 2 return lines but going by that there should only be one return from the steering box?

My hydro booster has a return line.
