I spent seat time behind the wheel of the Coronet on 30 December. I've never driven a B Body Mopar that rode and drove so good. I felt like I was driving a brand new car. I had a hard time walking away. I wanted to drive that car around all day.

Couldn't you just keep the truck or the 4 door Coronet outside with a good car cover?

I watched the restoration videos on the 4 door and to all this is a car guy that loved his car. We are just care takers in this life and Bart always did the right thing for his cars, no shortcuts. This 4 door is a great solid car for that new car person who may not have the money for a RT, GTX or Roadrunner but has something to be proud of when they take their kids or grandkids for ice cream.

Sadly, a car cover would not do it. We have packrats here in Arizona, and they can ruin a car or at least cause major damage in days. Having a cover on would make it even worse as packrats like to do their thing under the cover of a closed hood or car cover. They will strip all wiring of its insulation and generally destroy anything they can get their little teeth on, plus they poop and pee all over everything. If not the packrats, then the sun/heat would do its damage. So leaving a car outside is not really an option. Take a look at the first few seconds of this video to see what packrats will do to a car.

Thanks for the kind words! My thoughts exactly! I live in a retirement community where most people would have a hard time getting in to the back seat of a 2 door car, so this was one reason I chose the 4 door. We could take another couple out for dinner comfortably. Also, the cost factor was a major consideration. For half of the price or less of a 2 door car of the same era, you could have my really nice 4 door and not break the bank! I am glad I video documented everything. It is one thing to tell someone everything you have done, it is quite another thing to let them watch it happen. This way there are no doubts that the car was taken to bare metal, etc. Talk is cheap, video RULES!!!
