My lawn mower was running bad, so I asked a repair shop what's up. He told me, by the governments own legal definition, gas is no longer gas. Never store gas longer than a few months, it will go bad and take your carburetors with it, buy stock in fuel stabilizer. In all my cars, I only used 750 Quick fuel. My friend was a distributor for Quick fuel and had a dyno. He'd run in all the builds and things were great. This was my last carbureted car and a muscle doesn't need one to be a muscle car. I no longer get a kick out of playing with cars like I did, I do get a kick out of getting in, starting it and Letting The Horses Run. Time and age has changed me. Just the way I see it.

Most of all of my vehicles are carbureted except for my newer 12' Challenger R/T, 96' Ram V10 2500 and 2004 CTD Dually. I am old school by heart even though these old cars were before my time. I have always been a multiple carb guy.

Even with the s-it gas we have here
especially the winter blend, a lot of ethanol content
(they lie too about how much too, s-it kills MPG in my modern EFI equipped daily driver too,
you burn 70% more fuel by % (from 5% to 20% ethanol it's a crap shoot) of it in the gas
)

I'm constantly replacing needle & seats,
far more often than days of old
crap Ethanol blended swill/gas eats rubber lines & is very corrosive to aluminum too
Fingers crossed, I dump ‘Sta-bil’ in my tank all year long. And, carbs until the day I die!
