we have a crap-load of scrub/Black Oaks, tons of acorns here too

they are protected here too, can't legally shot/kill them,
I have a fake-decoy hawk & fake-decoy owl as deterrents,
I have to move them every so often, the f-ing Peckers just go to another corner)
we have a new Peregrine falcon pair, nesting in the area now
right behind US, 25 yards away, in the 75ft Sugarcone Pine
they're taking them M-fers out, 1 at a time
you see them hit in mid air & a puff of grey & white "pecker" feathers
& the falcon just flies off
gotta' love nature sometimes
