I did good today

I spent a few hours on my parking lights. They were somewhat rusty so i cleaned them up and painted. The sockets were beyond hope so i saved the harness end but removed the bulb socket from the housing. The auto parts had a universal 1157 socket which had these tabs on the end. The bulb socket fit perfect in the housing and it had these little tabs which i bent over and the socket is secure in the housing. I spliced the wires,soldered them and used shrink tubing on the connections. I made sure everything was wired correctly and working. Turned out pretty good and now in waiting for my new lenses and im good to go

Cool! It always feels good when you get a part cleaned up and ready to go back on the car, especially if you "save" it with some clever fixes. Nice job!
