The only things I actually HAVE to do every day are take my meds, eat, let the livestock out of the barn and the coops. Clean stalls, pick up eggs, put them in cartons and check the mail box. Other than that it's all wide open. I do have a list of construction projects, family car tasks to complete, honey do's, yard work, acreage work, repairs to infrastructure and such. Other than that I can spend time with the Express in the garage or whatever.

I'm going on points. I'll be 59. I'm tired of all the BS & mandatory overtime. I've averaged 59 hours a week so far this year. That doesn't leave much time for fun stuff. Moneys not the most important thing, time above ground is.

I have started adding in the commute time to my work time...To me, if I am away from the house for 13 hours a day, I might as well be working a 12 hour shift with a half hour drive each way. That is what I have been doing since January 2nd of this year.
THis stupid job is like the Winchester Mystery house...It never seems to end. They keep finding more **** for us to do.

How long would it take you to be ready for an out-of-state move? Toss out what isn't needed will take how long? It will take 5 professional movers one day to pack up a 1,500 square foot house plus 2 car garage. It will take one day for them to load the moving van. It will take them (3 to 5 people) one day to unload and unpack the boxes at your new destination. How many cars are you going to take with you to your new location. You can probably get a good deal with an open carrier hauling five cars.

Where are you going? Tennessee? How about moving there soon and then retiring at some point? Is Texas on your short list?
When are you going to visit locations in these states?

I have lived in low to moderate humidity most of my life so we need to feel exactly what high humidity is like. I've lived and worked in Sacramento Valley's 100, 105, 110 degree days so I am not afraid of the heat.
I'll admit that it is a bit daunting...the idea of leaving everything that I know for a state 1700 miles away. It is exciting too.

My part time job is becoming a full time job. My full time job is still a full time job, and stacking up. Been having to work Wednesday evenings, yet still keep trying to take Sun afternoons off.

High humidity air feels thick and steamy. It's like getting out of a hot shower and the bathroom is all steamed up. It's kind of hard to breathe and you overheat easily. Sweat evaporates off of you when the humidity is 30 and it's 90 degrees, but, 85-90 with high humidity is worse than 110 in a dry climate. Sweating will not cool you, it just rolls off you. I go outside for shorter periods of time during the day because the humidity just zaps you. Missouri has high humidity, but, a friend of mine that moved here for Alabama said Missouri is a walk in the park compared to there, hard to imagine. I've been in Tennessee over Christmas and in the middle of the summer, it's a lot like Missouri.

It means I'm off work until I want to go back. The next job we have is in about 2 to 2 1/2 months. Until then, I am enjoying staying up late, working on stuff at home and NOT driving in heavy traffic!
