How was it dealing with MGM classic cars? They are about a half hour south of me and I’ve wondered how they are for buying cars and possibly selling on consignment.

I got the car today. I can’t tell you how happy I am with it. Exactly as described. No chips dings ar cracks. Showroom condition. They ere very responsive on all their communication. Every step of the way I received emails and texts for everything they were doing. 9 days from when I first asked about the car until it was delivered to me in my driveway. Best online dealer I have delt with and I’ve delt with a few. Highly recommended.

You and I are the only ones.

January 28th 1979, we drove 200 miles to my home town. Goal was to purchase our 1st new vehicle. Dealer had it sitting in his back area inside. My father had talked to Gordon and suggested he also put a 1978 Fury Sport inside. Next day 29th ( my wife’s birthday) we went into town. The 300 was fairly basic. Kind of a dull blue/grey. Plain looking cloth seats. The Fury Sport was kind of sky blue, with a white canopy roof. Much nicer interior. Our 9 and 5 year old boys hardly looked at the 300 and liked the Fury. Gordon asked if we wanted to test drive either I said no.
We made a deal on the Fury. But we had the Michelin tires taken off our 72 Polara Custom that we had bought from my parents, and put them on the Fury, Also had extra leafs put on.
Sunday picked it up and drove home. Ended up getting the car for about 1300.00 less than the best deal in the city. Aside we were both smokers at that time. I wasn’t planning on smoking in the car. We got about 50 miles and my wife lit up a cigarette. I said what? I probably had willpower to not smoke in the car for at least a week. We did quit smoking in 1983.
I just didn’t like to look through smoke filmed windows in our vehicles.
