Well, my 68 & 69 Roadrunners will be leaving for the Netherlands on Tuesday, which gave the perfect opportunity to bring this bad boy home:

1963 Savoy
440 motor stroked to 500 (or so I'm told)
Ceramic coated headers with 3" exhaust & Flowmasters that dump before the rear axle
Indy aluminum heads with roller rockers
Cross ram
Ladder Bar Leaf Spring 8 3/4 rear
Sorta mini-tubbed with the quarters stretched very nicely
727 auto with reverse valve body
Power Lexan windows :puke:
Fiberglass trunk & front bumper
...and much, much more.

This should tie me over for a little while anyway:evil6:

Needs some fine tuning. Been sitting for a few years, so on Monday I'm going to pull the carbs and clean them, rebuild them if it needs it. One of them leaks a little. Motor could be a little crisper in my opinion, and since it's been sitting, and they are Holley carbs, I think I'm just going to do it.
She seems to really like 110, so I just mixed in 2 1/2 gal in with about 5 gal of 93 pump gas. I'm thinking I might need to run and get some lead additive.
Cant get the radio to work yet (like it even matters...lol), and the tranny has a small drip leak. Needs a good cleaning, inside, outside, underside.
And I need a line lock switch. It's bad.
But overall, really neat car. I'm likin' it alot so far.

I was told it'll do 11.20 the way it sits. I'm not so sure. In my opinion, it sits too high in the back, too low in the front, and like I said, needs some tuning. I'll take it to the 1/8 mile first and see just how straight she goes first.

Cool car, would be even cooler if you lost the weld wheels in favor of something more period.

I agree 100%.
Does anyone know where I can get steelies that are the size of the Welds that are on the back of the car now?
Somebody must make them, right?

First: LOVE the car!:headbang:
Second;I do like the Weld 5-spoke wheels. A very clean design, and they fit with the drag theme. Now,as far as alternative rolling stock;there's always Americans,or Wheel Vintiques,or what I've got from Rally America. 15X5 and 15X8 there. RA does offer the chrome steelies in a 15X10". Perfect for the rear. I'm just sayin'...

Nice car!, I guess that meens I won't be hearing from you on the Challenger.
Oh yeah, we are still gonna talk about that!
This deal had nothing to do with that one. Give me a few days and I'll be in touch.

Interesting.....Just off the top of my head, I think I'd like matching silver steelies...more period correct, INHO.

And yes, I do like the Weld wheels, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE stock original looking stuff (and this car I think would be a really good mix of both stock and drag).

I'll do some investigating, see what I'm gonna have in the carb work, and then see what kind of $$$ I have left to work with (if any).

I am sorry that you are suffering with your purchase. It'll grow on ya,,,,,,,,I promise:icon_hang:

LOL....didn't mean it to sound that way.
I've spent my life guilt-ridden. Thus, I feel I have to justify everything I buy to people and explain that it's not really as nice as it seems, and that no, I would never be worthy enough to actually OWN something nice. Anything.

(bad parenting. And growning up Catholic. a deadly combination:icon_hang:)

I wish I could see your car but for some reason pics are not showing up for me. Just red X's and none of the smile's working. But you know I love 63 Plymouth's so I know I like yours. Just thought I would show you mine for an idea as I like the old SS look and went that way with my 63. It sounds like yours should run easy 11.20's by the combo once you sort it out because it is much stronger then my build and I have dipped in the 11.40's. Body color steelies and the dog dish hubcaps look really great on our cars also. Good luck which ever way you decide on. Ron
