I've posted an ad up on Craigs List and would like some feedback. Any incorrect info you guys see? Any pointers on CL ads or prices you guys can offer?

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/pts/4194487383.html

I plan to go back and edit and put prices in .. suggestions from you guys that know truck parts are appreciated .. Offers too :) I want the truck beds to go most of all and then would love to move the rest of the Truck parts .. fenders, hood, tail gate, bumper, radiator/headlight panel, etc. Trying to get the outside stuff gone and the big stuff that I am not going to use out of the way so I can possibly consolidate and sell the property with the garage. I am pretty motivated on the truck body parts :) !!!! I just would like any reasonable offer .. not top dollar by any means but I don't really know what top dollar and bargain basement price are for these items.

I don't do texts and do not want to post my number in the ad as I've seen most do on CL.

It looks like you can only post one ad every 48 hours so I posted it all and am thinking of posting additional ads as allowed for individual parts next to target the ads to the specific parts.

I appreciate all suggestions and feedback.

Thanks all !

Well, I just bought a very nice grille surround for 30, and some damn-near perfect doors for 60/ea, including glass, etc. Truck beds seem to range from free, up to a couple hunski depending on thier desirability, condition, and so on. Those are the only parts I've bought/priced lately. Maybe check the prices at a local Pick-n-Pull or two to get some guidelines. I grew up in St Louis, I know there's some big boneyards over in IL.

Thanks for the advice brother! I sure had no idea these parts where that plentiful or maybe it's no one is messing with them anymore so no demand.

I've updated ad to reflect how to contact me btw. Via replying to the ad. I go from there on giving out phone number.

Just had my first contact. Sez he'll buy it all so we'll see how that goes.

Your advert looks fine from here :) Most people can't even string a good solid sentence together on some of the CL stuff I've seen. Good luck with the sale.
It looks like you still need some help with those spiders in your garage...lol

What spiders did you see man. There are spider sacks on a lot of the stuff. When I see them I killem

Good luck with it. Hopefully your fish takes a big bite. Then you won't have to deal with dozens of low-ballers, nimrods, dipshits, know-it-all nincompoops, tightwads, and jack-wagons who think denigrating your stuff makes them look knowledgeable.

Yeah, I may have sold some stuff on Craigslist too.

Good luck on the other buyer taking everything. BOY!! won't that make the wife (and you) happy.

That's for sure RRman. It will definitely show some visible progress to her. She calls it all rusty hunks of metal and said with her British accent its actually kinda cute they way she says it.

The fist time she ever said that I was looking at a 69 Sport Sat, 383 H code 4 speed A4 convert sitting in a field in North Texas. It had been there for years (1990 at the time). All the tires were flat and the grass and weeks were up to the fenders but it was a very cool car. The guy wanted $2,500 asking and I wish I would have bought it.

I bought a 70 6 BBL lime green (painted but faded B5 or B7) 4 speed, bench seat Road Runner coupe later from the same guy instead. Wish I still had that car! .. or at least knew where it was. It was a very solid car.

Sorry I really digressed there. Thanks for the feedback on the ad!

Pic #3 ....or am I seeing things :icon_eek:

I don't know which pic you are talking about but yes a hell of a lot of the parts have had spider egg sacks on them. There were spider egg sacks the size of very small grapes on the under side of the R/T floor pan. I hope I've got / smashed / killed them all. I am on the watch out for them now. Learned after bringing the R/T home! I didn't have a fly problem this summer though LOL!
