ID Brake Parts

Yes, all 73 up rotors use the same bearings. They increased the rotor diameter in 77, I believe, but 78 for sure. I have the same setup on my car. 1967 coronet, with 78 cordoba rotors, 70 to 74 E body calipers and hoses etc. 73 up A body spindles. I had to mount the calipers on the rear for sway bar clearance, so I had to move my frame fitting for proper hose routing. It is important that the hose routing be checked through all points of travel, and steering angle

And I'm guessing the splash shields are different for 11 vs 11.75?
Cause mine measure 11.5

The ball joint will fit but it will be on a slightly different angle when compared to the upper control arm, because the arm is higher on the outboard end. This is where some of the controversy comes in, as some people fear that the ball joint will run out of travel. I don't know if it is a problem or not. The camber curve could be slightly different also. I have no idea how much of an iimpact this will have.

I read a few "more current" articles......the more recent thought is it increases the caster angle in a positive way....adding the FF UCA...or any adjustable UCA negates the differences in the spindles. I'll be adding the Hotchkis TVS in the coming year or two....and since replacement "short" spindles are available...any negative attributes caused by the tall spindles will be "undone" when I add the kit and new spindles as needed.
Like 2005 is more recent...lol...but the science and tech are there

I'm glad you got it sorted out. I didn't give you my opinion on the spindles, because quite frankly, I don't have one. I know sòme people like the tall ones, but I have not done much research on the subject. Have fun.

One more quick question....the 11.75 pin caliper adapter....which year/body?

I'm not positive on all the years etc., but I got mine off of a 78ish cordoba, in a boneyard many years ago. No A or F bodies used the pin type calipers. You should use the 70 to 74 calipers with them because the hose connection changed on the later ones and might not be suitable.

Those calipers have a banjo fitting. On the earlier ones the hose screws in there and comes off on a different angle. Just give it a try, and see how it works. The 73 and up B body calipers are different in the hose than the 70 to 74 E body and 70 to 72 B body. Sorry about the E body, B body confusion.

That was a good article you found it does de-bunk a few urban legends.
My cars are both factory disc cars and I never worry much about factory set up.
However if you want to do a disc swap and you hear "your balljoint is going to snap off" it would get you worrying.
