Can anyone help me with this trans? I bought a car and this was in the trunk!

What is it? What's it worth? And does anybody need it?

It's a 4 speed....an older 833 from 64 back. IIRC, they went to the slip yoke design in 65. I don't know how to ID it from the casting/date code.

trans

It is worth what someone is willing to pay!Not much call for it unless someone is doing a 64-65.Didn't read the whole post reason for 2nd.reply.

It was in the trunk of a 64 Savoy that I purchased. The car has a manual floor hump. The guy who sold me the car didn't know about the trans cause it was his father-in-laws car and he has passed. The car doesn't have a motor or trans in . So my guess is this was the trans from this car???????? The car is an X racer from the 60's. Not much left.
Is there any other things to look for on it ? Or is it like you guys said A833 4 speed?

aha!...I figured someone would know more about it than me! I thought the 4 speeds had a third shifter shaft for reverse. I guess I'm wrong.
