i am going to ask a fabricating question most of you will never do, but maybe some one out there has done it. my idler arm has the studs at each end and i don't like it. it moves up and down in the socket on the k member mount. i know they were changed in '65 as my brother has a satellite and i like those better. they are obviously more solid in the design. now for the ?
can you drill out the stud and put a rebuild kit bushing in the '63 one? or, is the '65 arm interchangeable for the '63 with a plate welded on the top of the k member. or, is there a kit to do this out there? thanks for any replies to my nutty question. gary
