I've always been a Flyer fan, they're my East team. But they gone down hill since the 2010 cup, dropped their physical play, and hasn't worked out. Always wished to watch a game at the Spectrum, my goalie has been there for atleast 15 games, he's a ********My Flyers are in the tank. Firing Hextall was a mistake in my opinion.
My daughter and I had tickets to to see them in Philadelphia on 3/17/20. She was living in Chicago, then. I was going to go down there, and we were going to fly to Philly from there. We had lodging and airline tickets - all set. Then the NHL shut down on March 12th and that was that. Crazy thing is, we could have easily gone to an earlier game, but we picked a later one thinking it would be a better chance for good weather. Never figured on a pandemic. We ended up getting all of our money back except for the airline tickets (we still have vouchers from American that expire at the end of this March). I don't think we'll probably ever make that trip, now. We did see them beat the Blackhawks in Chicago around 2006, and I still think that was maybe the best sporting event I've ever been to.I've always been a Flyer fan, they're my East team. Yes, Mario - a fantastic atmosphere!! And it was the Hawks' '75th anniversary season, so they were playing historic videos during the downtime. Just a great experience! I think it was actually in 2000.The UC is a great venue to watch a hockey game.
My favorite Blackhawk highlight lol.
