Indy 440-1 heads on a 71 gtx/roadrunner

TGC.....if you are going to go with Eddies you could get a set of them cnc ported from Modern Cylander Head and spend about the same $$$$ as a set of Indy's would have cost plus not having to deal with the gasket issue and the external oil lines. I took some measurements and did a quick mock-up/calibrated eyeball with a B engine in a '73 RR many years ago and a Performer RPM/ 850 Demon/4" drop base air filter fit under the hood with room to spare. A 440 may put things a tad close but you could drop to a 3" filter element and use the K&N derby to gain back the airflow.

Heads

I had eddie heads with six pac on my 73 with a 400 engine and it was close, now still have eddies with edelbroke performer intake and 950 proform with old style 14" bb air cleaner more room but that is still a low block. Hope was some help
