I'm installing a 340 auto trans. Checking the degree angle down front to rear, what is the norm and what are the limits up and down with side toe side at 0*? Thanks ron

Usually 1 to 3 degrees down. Rear pinion should be about same up. Measure pinion angle and match in opposite direction

What vehicle are you working with? Not sure if all models have the same side to side offset but ChryCo offset the engines around 1 1/4" or so to the passenger side....

Generally speaking they are level to 1 degree down at the back. You can make anything work by adjusting the pinion so it's a few degrees lower than the trans C/L.

All Chrysler drive train, 340 engine,904 trans and 3:55, 8 3/4 rear. 1971 Challenger interior, bucket seats and center console with Slap Stick. All going in a 1953 Studebaker 2 door coupe.
