Installing Legendary 70 Charger Seat Covers

I would try to fit the covers on before cutting the foam. Possibly the old foam is compressed and stiff from the years of age. It usually takes some stuffing and pulling with new foam to get new covers cinched down.

I don’t see a specific 70 Charger bucket seat video in Legendary’s library of videos but ther3 is one on 70 or 71 Challenger bucket seats that might be similar enough to help a little.

Ok, after doing 1 bucket seat, I recommend the following:

1. Do NOT try to relocate the side slits for front to back stringers. The foam from legendary matches the seat covers (the originals seem a little wider). Just cut them through, mark the burlap and add in new/additional stringers.

2. DO move the side-to-side stringer in the rear of the seat. Cut the foam where the original stringer is - the vinyl will go on easier.

Just my opinion and observations after doing the first bucket. Working on the 2nd tomorrow as I'm out of Hog Rings - 520 used so far. Yes, some were wasted/bent/removed as I did things twice :)
