I am installing my new carpeting and I can't remember if the gas pedel was mounted on the top right egde of the heel pad or on the carpeting just forward of the heel pad. Anyone have a photo of the carpet in the early B's?

You have quite a bit of flexability on this. I replaced a Red carpet that was not original to the car so I had to guess at it too. I think as long as your heel lands on the heel pad you're OK.

My carpet was molded to the footwells and fit better with the pedal just forward of the
heel pad.

Good luck!

It was installed in the upper right corner!Cut out the area of the carpet and heel pad,so it will set flush with the carpet.(Smaller than the pedal pad)

What are the plans for floor mats? I'd like to find something nice for my 4 speed console equipped '65.

I'm interested in seeing what floor mats you guys are using in your 62-65s. I was looking for something really specific for mine and found these after about a year and a half of searching. They are a part number that fits a full sized Chevy and they are NOS from the late sixties. They were no meant to fit around a four speed hump or floor shifter so I cut them up and fit them so they would work. Originally a one piece mat the covers the trans tunnel as well.

HitIt did a really nice job. I like the rubber type floor mats better than the carpetted ones that are currently available. I think that I may look for some one piece late 60's GM mats and cut them also. Of course, I wouldn't need the center with my console.
