Sniffed out another car today...It,s in a small town off the grid...IT,s a 68 for sure..Round side markers on the front fenders..It had dual hoodscoops with 440 emblems, emblems were missing but i could see the 440 on the paint...Also had hoodpins, looked like factory..I looked at a few on ebay and they all had round clusters on the dash...This car has the long retangle style...All of the emblems are gone..No super bee on the grill..Any info what you think would help....Couldn,t see the vin a piece of paper was covering that area on the dash...Left a note hopefully he,ll call..

A few things - '68s did not have hood scoops or hood pins. Sounds like somebody put a '69 R/T hood on this car. Also all Super Bees had the Rallye dash. So I'm 99.2% sure it's not a Bee. I have never heard of anyone replacing a Rallye dash with a standard dash.
Coupe or HT? '68 Bees were coupe only and R/Ts were hard top or convertible.

On the R/T, the Rallye dash was an option but the horizontal speed goes to 150 instead of 120.

Also, 68's had no super bee on the grill. Just "DODGE" letters on it.

Super bee wouldn't have a 440, it would be a 383 or Hemi. R/Ts had 440s or Hemis.

the answer simply is that its a coronet 440.

That's why the paper was there, it wasn't by accident. He didn't want you to see the VIN and then know it wasn't a Bee. Clone car for sure.

I've got a '68 and NO Bee on the grille.Believe 69's had them.Everybody else has it right.
